Bullish News ?

After the lousy payrolls report on Friday a number of news broken over the week-end and today to support equities:

  1. China growth package

  2. Latvia take-over of second largest bank (holding back Nordic Banks from rallying today)

  3. New bail-out package of AIG and the the Financial Sector in general

  4. Circuit City filing for Chapter 11

  5. Banco Santander € 7.2bn rigths issue

  6. And we are waiting for a GM bail-ouit and the news on Carnegie in Sweden

Considering the move in equities bunds (and US Treasury considerin this weeks supply) are holding up pretty well. Listening and reading Richard C. Koo presentation "The Age of Balance Sheet Recessions" it would not be a big surprise. I really would recommned spend some time on it even though I disagree with his suggestion to delay non performing loan disposal and maybe it would ve better to give the private sector direct debt relief instead of just going down the road of fiscal stimulus.

But back to the market here and now where I am trying to get up of the small hole I digged for myself Friday afternoon after the payroll report.
